After a couple of thrilling semi finals we now know who will be playing in this year's 2022 FA Cup Final. The 2022 FA Cup Final is due to take place on Saturday 14th May 2022 at the 90,000 seater Wembley Stadium and Premier League Contenders take on current European Champions Chelsea in a replay of the EFL Cup Final back in February. This will be only the second time that the same pair of teams meet both in the EFL Cup Final and the FA Cup Final in the same season since Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday back in 1993. The prize money for this year's 2022 FA Cup Final winners will be £1.8 Million for the winner and £900,000 for the runners up.

The FA Cup is a unique competition as it contains over 700 teams all over England. 637 of those teams are semi professional teams from non-league competitions and fight to qualify for the main competition that consists of League two and League one teams in the first round. The great thing about the FA Cup is it gives non-league teams the chance to play teams in a higher division giving them a big boost in funds enabling them to reinvest this into local communities. For example, Boreham Wood is a national league team that made it through to the round of 16 this year. But out of all those 729 teams we are now down to four and in this article today I will be telling you how you can watch the FA Cup Final live through StreamLocator saving you money on your costly Cable TV bills!

Who’s playing in the 2022 FA Cup Final?

This year's 2022 FA Cup Final will be played between Liverpool and Chelsea in a repeat of the EFL League Cup final. Chelsea will be looking for revenge after narrowly missing out on the EFL League Cup trophy against Liverpool back in February after losing in a thrilling penalty shootout. Since 2018 Chelsea will have appeared in four FA Cup Finals, last winning it back in 2018 against Manchester United and in 2021 they became runners up against Leicester City. Surprisingly Liverpool's last entry into the FA Cup Final was back in 2012 where they lost 2-1 against Chelsea but have since recently found themselves starting to push for more silverware with their win over Chelsea in the EFL League Cup in February. Liverpool are also looking to be the first team in England to achieve the quad (League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League) with at the time of writing Liverpool being favourites to win both the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea entered the FA Cup in the third round. Liverpool managed to see off Shrewsbury Town, Cardiff City, Norwich City, Nottingham Forest and league rivals Manchester City to reach the 2022 FA Cup Final.

Chelsea had the easier run of Chesterfield, Plymouth Argyle, Luton Town, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace to earn their place into the 2022 FA Cup Final.

Top scorers for both teams in the 2022 FA Cup leading to the final have been Takumi Minamino for Liverpool and Romelu Lukaku for Chelsea, both players achieving three goals in the competition.
