That happens around 110 times across a season, even if you pay for both Sky Sports and TNT Sports.

The 2026/27 season runs from Friday 21 August 2026 to Sunday 30 May 2027, across 33 weekends and five midweek rounds, with the final-day fixtures all kicking off at the same time. The Premier League pushed the start back a week this year to leave a gap after the World Cup final. Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City come up from the Championship, and Arsenal defend the title they won with 85 points. So before you commit to a long contract, it is worth being precise about where to watch Premier League football and what each UK subscription actually covers.
Sky Stream with Sports costs £35/month on a 24-month term for new customers. It includes Essential TV and Netflix, with no upfront fees. Sky has the largest UK package, a minimum of 215 live Premier League matches a season, but it cannot show the matches played during the Saturday closed period.
Sky Go is useful if you already have Sky Sports, while Sky Go outside the UK is relevant for subscribers travelling abroad. The rights limitation is the same either way.
TNT Sports has 52 live Premier League matches a season, including exclusive Saturday 12:30pm kick-offs. It moved from Discovery+ to HBO Max in March 2026, so HBO Max is now where you subscribe. As a standalone option via HBO Max UK, it costs £30.99/month, or £25.99/month on the 12-month saver.
Sky Sports and TNT Sports together start from around £60/month on a discounted 24-month contract that includes the TV base. On rolling 31-day terms, the add-on charges are £69/month on top of a Sky TV subscription. Those are two different pricing routes, not directly interchangeable.
NOW gives you the Sky Sports channels without a long Sky contract. NOW Sports costs £34.99/month on a flexible plan or £27.99/month on a 12-month saver. A 24-hour pass is £14.99. For 4K, you need Ultra Boost at an additional £9/month.
NOW is a good fit if you mainly want Sky's fixtures without changing your TV package. It does not include TNT's 52 matches, and it does not solve the missing Saturday 3pm games. So if you are asking where can I watch English Premier League football in full, no UK subscription answers that on its own.
Sky's minimum 215 matches plus TNT's 52 gives you 267 live UK broadcasts. The remaining 110 or so are not available live through any UK service.
The key issue is simple arithmetic. Sky Sports has a minimum of 215 matches and TNT Sports has 52. That is 267 live matches from a 380-match season, leaving around 110 that are not shown live in the UK. Sky's 215 is a stated minimum, which is why the gap is best described as around 110 rather than as a fixed number.
Those missing fixtures are generally affected by the Saturday 3pm closed period. Between 14:45 and 17:15 on designated Saturdays, UK broadcasters cannot show live football. The closed period is triggered when 50% of fixtures in the top two divisions are scheduled to kick off at 15:00. It is governed by UEFA Article 48 and used by the associations in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Under the current deal, every Premier League match outside that Saturday window is shown live in the UK. The closed period is the only reason a fixture is unavailable, which is why the three games named at the top of this guide have no UK broadcaster against them.
One date worth watching: 26 December 2026 falls on a Saturday. UEFA has not yet published the associations' declarations for 2026/27, so whether the closed period applies to Boxing Day is still an open question. In 2025/26 both festive Saturdays were excluded from the window, and the Premier League chose not to schedule any 3pm kick-offs on them.
The restriction is on UK broadcasts, not on the matches themselves. International broadcasters can legally hold rights to show all 380 fixtures. It also does not apply to every Saturday, because each association declares its relevant dates in advance. This is why picking a service is not the same question as asking which UK sports package has the most games. Sky and TNT are the complete domestic option for matches available in the UK. They are not a route to every match.
Ranked by what each route actually delivers. All prices here were checked in August 2026. The three international routes need StreamLocator to reach them from the UK, so their costs include it at about £2/month on its two-year plan. The UK routes do not need it, so their costs do not.

Fubo Canada carries every Premier League match in 4K under its exclusive Canadian rights deal. At about £19/month, £17 to Fubo plus about £2 to StreamLocator, it is a complete option for viewers who prioritise 4K.
The practical drawback is payment. You need a Canadian payment method, or a Canadian Apple ID with iTunes vouchers. It is therefore less straightforward than TOD for a UK-based fan looking for full coverage.
Peacock carries Saturday 3pm kick-offs, which start at 10am Eastern, for about £9/month: roughly £7 to Peacock on its annual Premium plan plus about £2 to StreamLocator, or about £10/month billed monthly. The cheaper Select tier does not include live sport.
Peacock does not carry every Premier League match. Early and late kick-offs are usually assigned to USA Network, which means you also need a US live-TV provider login, such as YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV or Sling TV. It also requires a US payment method, or a US Apple ID with iTunes vouchers.
