Does Peacock work abroad? What happens to your account outside the US

Peacock stops playing the moment you leave the United States. This is not a fault in your account. Premier League rights are sold country by country, and Peacock's are American, so all 380 matches in a season sit behind that one border.

Two people ask this question. The first already pays for Peacock and wants the football back from a hotel room abroad. The second is outside the US entirely, has no home service that carries the Premier League, and is wondering whether Peacock is the answer.

Both get a straight answer below, including the part nobody can unlock.

Every match, with no US pay-TV login involved

TOD carries all 380 Premier League matches in English, including the Saturday 3pm kick-offs. From about £7 a month, plus about £2 for StreamLocator.

Does Peacock work abroad?

No, not on its own. Peacock is a United States service. The American Premier League rights sit with NBCUniversal, and the matches are spread across its platforms: Peacock, NBC and USA Network. Cross a border and the stream stops.

It makes no difference whether you are away for a fortnight or have moved permanently, or which country you land in. The United Kingdom, Canada and everywhere else get the same result. Our guide to where the Premier League is shown sets out which service holds the rights where you are.

What a location tool can fix, and what it cannot

StreamLocator sets your streaming location, so the Peacock content that plays in the United States can play where you are. That covers Peacock's own live football.

It does not cover the rest of NBCUniversal's coverage. The early and late kick-offs are usually assigned to USA Network. Reaching those needs a US live-TV provider login on top of Peacock, from Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling or cable. NBC's own streams need a US pay-TV login too.

Setting your location does not give you a US cable subscription. No location tool does. If you have been searching for a way to use an NBC Sports provider login from abroad, this is the honest answer. Further down is the route that needs no provider login.

Peacock shows matches UK television is barred from showing

The Saturday 3pm kick-offs are on Peacock, starting at 10am US Eastern. No UK broadcaster is allowed to show them live. If that is why you subscribed, StreamLocator sets your location back to the US and the account plays again.

What Peacock carries, what it costs and how you pay

Credit where it is due. Peacock carries the Saturday 3pm kick-offs. In the UK, Sky shows a minimum of 215 matches and TNT Sports shows 52, 267 of 380 between them. The rest fall inside the closed period on Saturdays between 14:45 and 17:15, under UEFA Article 48. Our 3pm blackout guide explains why around 110 matches a season never appear live on UK television. If you are weighing a UK package instead, our breakdown of how much Sky Sports costs sets out those prices.

What Peacock does not give you is every match. Most of them, yes, but the early and late kick-offs sit on USA Network behind that provider login. It is a strong service with one hole in it, and no extra payment to Peacock fills it.

Peacock's plans

Live sport, including the Premier League, sits on Premium and above. Select carries no live sport at all, so it is the wrong plan for football.

  • Select: $7.99 a month, or $79.99 a year.
  • Premium: $10.99 a month, or $109.99 a year. This is the football plan.
  • Premium Plus: $16.99 a month, or $169.99 a year.

Paying for Peacock from outside the United States

Peacock requires a US payment method, or a US Apple ID with iTunes vouchers. That lands differently depending on who you are.

If you opened the account while living in the US, you already have what Peacock wants. Set your streaming location to the United States and your football comes back, minus the USA Network and NBC fixtures.

If you are starting from scratch abroad, that payment requirement is a real obstacle before you have watched a minute. The question stops being how to get into Peacock. It becomes which service will sell you the Premier League without asking for a US card. Our guide to the cheapest way to watch the Premier League runs through the field.

Two different problems, two different answers

Already have Peacock? StreamLocator puts you back in the US and it plays again. Choosing from scratch? The money is the same either way, so choose on coverage: TOD carries all 380 with nothing else to buy.

TOD, and why it suits this problem

TOD is beIN Media Group's own platform. It launched in January 2022 and operates in 24 countries across the Middle East and North Africa. It is a normal paid subscription, and StreamLocator does not resell or include it.

TOD carries all 380 Premier League matches with English commentary, including every Saturday 3pm kick-off. Nothing sits behind a second provider login. La Liga is on the same subscription, and so are the Champions League and Europa League in 2026/27. TOD holds its Premier League rights across the region through 2027/28. The 2026/27 season runs from 21 August 2026 to 30 May 2027.

TOD Standard is about £7 a month on its annual plan, or about £8 billed monthly. There is also a 4K Premium plan at a higher price. The football is the same on both.

Can you watch it where you are? TOD is licensed across the Middle East and North Africa. Outside that region you need StreamLocator, set to Jordan. That comes to about £9 a month across two separate subscriptions, £7 to TOD on its annual plan and £2 to StreamLocator on its two-year plan. It works out at about £106 a year. Our full TOD guide covers the service in more detail.

StreamLocator runs its own connections, chosen and maintained for streaming. When a broadcaster blocks one, we move you onto another. Keeping those routes working is the whole job, not a side effect of a privacy product. It runs on smart TVs, consoles, streaming sticks, phones and browsers. If you have tried other tools on live football and watched them fail at kick-off, our notes on why football streams stop working will look familiar.

TOD registration takes any international card or PayPal, so there is no US payment method to arrange. One limitation is worth knowing first. TOD has no native app for Fire OS devices such as the Fire TV Stick. Fire Stick owners use a browser or cast instead. That is a TOD limitation, not a StreamLocator one.

How to watch the Premier League on TOD from anywhere

  1. Create a StreamLocator account and start your free 7-day trial.
  2. Set your location to Jordan.
  3. Sign up for TOD and pay with any international card or PayPal.
  4. Open TOD and watch the Premier League.

Peacock and TOD, side by side

Price is not the deciding factor. On their annual plans Peacock Premium and TOD Standard cost about £7 a month each, and StreamLocator adds the same £2 on its two-year plan either way. The difference is what arrives for that money.

Route Cost Matches Notes
TOD Standard with StreamLocator ⭐ ~£9 a month, about £106 a year 380 £7 to TOD on its annual plan + £2 to StreamLocator on its two-year plan. All Saturday 3pm kick-offs, English commentary. Any international card or PayPal. No native Fire OS app.
Peacock Premium with StreamLocator ~£9 a month on annual plans Not every match £7 to Peacock on its annual plan + £2 to StreamLocator on its two-year plan. Carries the Saturday 3pm kick-offs. Early and late kick-offs need a US live-TV provider login on top. Needs a US payment method or a US Apple ID.
Peacock Premium inside the US $10.99 monthly, or $109.99 a year Not every match No StreamLocator needed. Same USA Network and NBC gap.
Peacock Select $7.99 monthly, or $79.99 a year None No live sport at all.

Read the top two rows together. Same money, and only one of them needs a second American subscription to finish the job. TOD gives you all 380 matches on one login. Peacock gives you most of them, plus a shopping list. The argument has nothing to do with price.

Plenty of readers need none of this, and our country-by-country guide shows who. If you live in the United States, buy Peacock directly. If you live in Canada, Fubo holds the exclusive Canadian rights and carries all 380 matches in 4K, so buy Fubo directly. If you are inside DStv's African footprint, buy DStv directly. StreamLocator is for people outside the country that sells the service they want.

On terms of service, the measured version. Using a location tool is not illegal. It may sit outside a given service's terms, and that call is yours to make. You still pay the broadcaster for its content, and none of this is piracy. This is general information, not legal advice.

The season starts on 21 August 2026

Frequently asked questions

Does Peacock work abroad?

Not by itself. Peacock is licensed for the United States, and the stream stops when you leave. Setting your streaming location to the United States brings Peacock's own live football back, including the Saturday 3pm kick-offs.

Can I watch Peacock in the United Kingdom or Canada?

The answer is the same in both, and everywhere else. Peacock does not serve those countries directly, so you need your streaming location set to the United States. In Canada, Fubo holds the exclusive Canadian rights and carries all 380 matches in 4K, so buying it directly is simpler.

How do I pay for Peacock from outside the United States?

Peacock wants a US payment method, or a US Apple ID topped up with iTunes vouchers. If you opened the account while living in the US, you are fine. If you are starting from scratch abroad, TOD is the easier route, because it accepts any international card or PayPal.

Can I use my NBC Sports TV provider login abroad?

Only if you already hold a US live-TV subscription, such as Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling or cable. A location tool cannot create one. The early and late kick-offs on USA Network, and NBC's own streams, sit behind that login.

Is Peacock or TOD better value for the Premier League?

They cost about £7 a month each on their annual plans, so value comes down to coverage. Peacock carries the Saturday 3pm kick-offs but not the early and late USA Network fixtures. TOD carries all 380 with English commentary, plus La Liga, and the Champions League and Europa League in 2026/27.

Final thoughts

Peacock abroad is two problems wearing one coat. The location problem has a fix. The provider-login problem does not. A service that needs a second US subscription for the early kick-offs was never going to cover a season alone.

If Peacock is already yours, keep it and set your streaming location to the United States. If you are choosing from scratch, TOD hands you all 380 matches. It costs about £9 a month across two separate subscriptions, £7 to TOD on its annual plan and £2 to StreamLocator on its two-year plan. Start the free 7-day trial, check it on your devices, and be ready before 21 August.
