This guide covers what each Fubo plan actually costs once the regional sports fee is counted, what changed when Fubo and Hulu + Live TV merged, and how to subscribe from outside the US.
Your streaming location is a setting inside StreamLocator. It is simply the country you want services to think you are watching from, and you change it from a list.
For most services there is nothing to choose, because only one country sells them. Fubo is one of the few where it matters. The American and Canadian services share a name, carry different things, and are sold as separate subscriptions, so a US Fubo account will not play if your location is set to Canada. Pick the United States.
There are four plans.
Sports + News is $64.99 a month for 31 channels: ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC in some markets, and ESPN Unlimited. Pro is $88.99 for 216 channels and adds local NBA, NHL and MLB coverage. Elite is $98.99 for 281 channels and adds 4K. Latino is $19.99 for 51 Spanish-language channels.
Now the part that catches people out. Pro and Elite carry a regional sports fee on top of the advertised price, between $3.99 and $16.99 a month depending on where in the US your connection places you. That is not an optional add-on and it is not included in the headline number, so Pro is realistically $93 to $106 a month rather than $88.99.
Sports + News has no regional sports fee, which is part of why it is the plan most people abroad should be looking at. It also has the fewest channels by a wide margin, so the question is whether you want a full cable replacement or the major networks plus ESPN.

This is the single most useful thing to know about Fubo right now and it is easy to miss in the plan grid: ESPN Unlimited is included on Sports + News, Pro and Elite alike.
That means the cheapest Fubo plan carries the full ESPN service, not a cut-down version of it. If ESPN is the reason you are here, you do not need to climb the ladder to get it.
In October 2025 Fubo and Disney completed a deal combining Fubo with Disney’s Hulu + Live TV business. Disney holds around 70 per cent of the merged company and Fubo’s management continues to run it.
For a viewer, very little changed. Fubo still has its own app, its own plans and its own subscription. Hulu + Live TV still exists separately inside the Hulu app. If you have seen the headlines and assumed one had swallowed the other, it had not.
Worth being explicit, because the shared name causes real confusion. They have different channel line-ups, different prices, and separate subscriptions. An American subscription does not get you the Canadian service and the other way round.
StreamLocator offers both locations for Fubo, which makes the choice yours rather than ours: pick the United States for the service described on this page, or Canada for the other one. What it does not do is turn one Fubo subscription into two.
If it is football you are after, the Canadian service is the more interesting one: Fubo Canada holds the exclusive Canadian rights to all 380 Premier League matches, including the Saturday kick-offs British broadcasters cannot show.
Fubo can see roughly where in the world you are connecting from, and it only lets American viewers in. From anywhere else you get an error rather than a reduced catalogue.
StreamLocator gives you a US connection of the kind an American household would have. That is what Fubo expects its customers to be using, so it plays normally.
This is also why an ordinary VPN often stops working. Most of them route thousands of people through the same small pool of company servers, and when a streaming service notices hundreds of accounts arriving from one office computer somewhere, it closes the door on all of them at once. StreamLocator does not put you in that queue.
Setting it up on the router covers every device in the house at once, including the ones that will not run an app. It is worth the extra five minutes if more than one person watches.
A US payment method is the direct route. If you do not have one, buy the subscription inside the Fubo app on a US Apple ID topped up with Apple gift cards. That is an ordinary retail purchase and needs no American bank account.
Have StreamLocator running and set to the United States before you open the sign-up page, so Fubo sees a US connection while you register rather than partway through. This matters more on Fubo than on most services, because the regional sports fee and the local channel line-up are both set from where it thinks you are, and because signing up through the Canadian location would put you on the wrong service entirely.
Fubo and StreamLocator are two separate subscriptions. Fubo charges you for the television, StreamLocator charges you for the access that reaches it, and the same StreamLocator subscription works with every other service on this site.
