What is AT&T TV Now, and how can I watch it?

AT&T TV Now is a multichannel streaming network.

It might seem like a reasonably new addition to the online channels and networks, launched in March 2020, but it’s been operating under the banner of DirecTV Now since 2016.

The service operates primarily as an app you download to smartphones, tablets, streaming players or is built into smart TVs. It has a comprehensive line-up that includes the four major US broadcast networks. It also features many of the major news networks, a generous handful of the sports channels and a mass of entertainment channels.

But what’s for sure is, there are heaps of channels up for grabs. You’ll have to choose from a couple of different price packages, though, so be sure you know what you’re signing up for. With Now Plus, there are over 45 channels, and with Now Max, there are well over 60.

You’ll have access to a selection of the big-name channels: ABC, CNN, HBO, CBS, Showtime, Cinemax, ESPN, Disney, MTV, Fox, and more.

On top of all those impressive channels, there are also over 55,000 on-demand titles to back up your live viewing.

With each AT&T TV Now account you can record 500 hours of streaming TV as part of their cloud DVR feature.

How can I watch AT&T TV Now with StreamLocator?

StreamLocator makes AT&T TV Now think you’re in the USA, to get around their server blocks and be able to access their channels. Once you’re set up, any redirects or error messages will no longer affect you—whatever device or computer you choose to watch it on.

No complicated settings or software installation required

The beauty of our system is that there aren’t any additional software programs to install or settings to change on your devices. If you’re like us and use a range of portable devices as well as your smart TV to watch your streaming content, the last thing you need is the extra hassles and headaches of installing software. Or worse—fiddling around with different DNS settings and profiles.

Our system is so much simpler. In fact, we think it’s the easiest there is. Our smart router is your best-bet plug-and-play solution. Once installed (and it’s easy to install), it’s switched on all the time and working away in the background. You don’t have to give a second thought to what it’s doing—it’s all automatic.

Because our router box works in combination with your existing WiFi router, your location is switched there instead of at your device. That means the StreamLocator system provides a new location for any device, including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, your Apple or Android smartphones and tablets, Mac or PC—in fact, it works with all of your Internet-enabled devices.

You can connect as many devices to as many services in as many countries as you need. StreamLocator takes care of all of them at once, so no-one has to miss a show, ever again.

How to watch AT&T TV Now from outside the USA

AT&T TV Now blocks viewers from outside the US from accessing their content using geolocation technology. This system pinpoints where you are, and if you’re not in the US, you’ll receive an error message.

To bypass geo-blockers, you’ll need a way to change your location and provide an alternative address that makes you appear to be in the USA.

How to register for AT&T TV Now from outside the USA

With StreamLocator in place, you can register for AT&T TV Now just as you would if you were in the US. However, if you don’t have access to a US credit card, then you may stumble at the payment step.

We’ve found that converting the postcode of your credit card address to a US zipcode works a treat to fool their systems.

Do you need a VPN or DNS to watch AT&T TV Now from outside the USA?

VPN and Smart DNS are the most popular services available to get around geolocation blockers and access US streaming content from outside the country. Both systems have their uses and can offer many benefits where an additional layer of security is needed.

That said—if you’re looking for a system to stream as much overseas TV programming or networks as you like, then StreamLocator is your best bet by far.

Because it works using a combination of technologies, it’s the best of both worlds and more. VPN or DNS options each have their limitations or work with some channels and not others. StreamLocator accesses them all.

How to unblock AT&T TV Now

Unblocking AT&T TV Now is simple with StreamLocator. Once you’ve plugged the router box into your existing WiFi router (any open port is fine), your next job is to complete a few simple steps to activate your account. With that done, all you have to do is switch over from your regular WiFi network to the new STREAMLOCATOR option, and that’s that.

Our router will automatically provide the locations that each service needs to permit access to their content.

Does StreamLocator allow me to watch AT&T TV Now for free?

To watch AT&T TV Now you need to subscribe to one of their packages. Whether you’re watching in the US or from anywhere else in the world, you still have to pay for their content.
