New TV Shows and Movies on Netflix in October 2020

Netflix added a ton of new Netflix originals this month, including one based on Walter Tevis' critically acclaimed novel "The Queen's Gambit", which follows a chess prodigy and the high stakes world of chess competitions. Anya Taylor-Joy stars in it, and it covers everything from drug addiction to feminism to the inner workings of the brain of a genius.

In October, Netflix will debut Aaron Sorkin’s “The Trial of the Chicago 7”, a true story that chronicles the arrest and trial of seven anti-Vietnam War protesters at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. It stars Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne.

Also coming this month is the return of a quarantine binge favorite, “Unsolved Mysteries” (Volume 2).
